In June 2010, the ACC board approved the formation of a new, self-funded panel to represent the producers, suppliers and users of formaldehyde and formaldehyde products. Trade associations representing key formaldehyde applications will also be an important membership component of the group. The Formaldehyde Panel's primary activities will include advocacy, research, and marketplace outreach.

Home to a number of similar groups, ACC provides technical and management services to support chemical- or issue-specific industry panels under its Chemical Products and Technology Division (CPTD). ACC's self-funded groups provide the entire product value-stream a stronger and more effective voice. The addition of the formaldehyde panel reflects the business value that ACC provides through exceptional advocacy.
